Waldoch Farm has a variety of events throughout the year, check back here for periodic updates or simply join our email list.

Sunflower Festival:

Saturday, July 27th and Sunday, July 28th
Saturday, August 3rd and Sunday, August 4th
runs 10:00am - 4:00pm with timed ticketing

  • Cost of event is $18
  • Includs: Sunflower Experience, Wagon Ride to the Sunflower Fields, one U-Pick Sunflower of the guest’s choice, Live Music, and a Pick and Play Membership Fee for the day.
  • In the back forty of Waldoch Farm. There will be a hayride that will pick up by the Garden Center and transport you back to the Sunflower Feild where Vanelli's on the Lake will be seving wine, beer and snacks.

Honey Bee Experience:

Saturday, August 10th from 10:00am and 3:00pm

  • Cost of event is $25
  • Pre-registration required - you will be able to reserve your spot soon
  • Included in Cost is a 1 lb. jar of honey

Fall Container Demonstrations:

Thursday, August 15th at 6:00pm

Come Learn how to give your containers a new look for the fall season. Whether it's a completely new container or swapping out plants, Kathy will demonstrate options and recommend seasonally appropriate plants. Just stop into the garden center during the demonstration, preregistration is NOT required.

Garden Tour and Corn Feed:

Sunday, August 18th from 11:00am - 4:00pm

Come visit Mary and Kathy's personal gardens. Fun for the family includes:

  • Hay ride from the Farm to Kathy's gardens
  • Joyer Barnyard
  • Free 1st cob of sweet corn
  • Kettle Corn and lemonade
  • Plus there will be some special one day deals!

Salsa Making Demonstrations:

Friday, August 23rd at 4:00pm
Saturday, August 24th at 4:00pm

We are excited to have Mary open up her home and knowledge about preserving the harvest for this Demonstration. Mary will be going through the process step by step from the start of cutting up peppers, tomatoes, and onions to the last step of the hot water bath. She will be giving many tips along the way. This event has a limit of 14 people each day. There is a $8 charge per person and everyone who attends will take home some salsa from the event, along with the knowledge to make as much as you need to for the winter!

"Growing TEFFLA at Waldoch Farm":

Thursday, September 12th 2019, 5:30pm to 8:00pm

Please join community sponsors and TEFFLA board members as we raise at least $40,015 to award grants for inspired educational opportunities in Forest Lake Area. For more information about this event and TEFFLA go to www.teffla.org.

Flashlight Night in the Corn Maze:

Friday, October 4th and Saturday the 5th, until 10pm
Friday, October 11th and Saturday the 12th, until 10pm

Last entry to the Corn Maze is at 9:00pm
Two Weekends Only, no Fright only Fun, bring a Flashlight.

The Sunset is around 6:20 pm. Arrive with your flashlight anytime of day, your Corn Maze wristbands are good all day including flashlight night. For entry after 7pm Corn Maze wristbands will be reguired for all guests. Come early and play all day!

Fall Fun:

Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze
Opens September 21st runs through October 31st

Our Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze is 20 minutes North of Minneapolis and St. Paul at Waldoch Farm.

  • Our farm has free parking
  • Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times
  • We accept cash, checks or credit card payments
  • Sorry, no dogs allowed

Fall Fun during MEA Break:

Hay Rides and Food are Open
October 16th, 17th, and 18th 10am – 7pm

Last entry to the Corn Maze is at 6:00pm

We treat all three days of MEA Break like a weekend at Fall Fun! You can try to win a candy bar at Corn Cannon! Our delicious food will be available each day! On Wednesday the hayride to the pumpkin patch will be running about every hour and a half starting around 10:30am. On Thursday and Friday the hayride to the pumpkin patch will be running on an hour rotation. During MEA we welcome field trip groups. The field trip groups have designated hay wagons that are reserved for each class or group.

Come get a head start on your porch mixed containers. Now you can plant your own container right in the Garden Store! Bring a pot from home or choose from our fabulous selection of pots and containers.

  • Pricing determined by container size:
  • 12" and under costs $13*
  • over 12" to 16" costs $19*
  • over 16" to 24" costs $24*
  • over 24" costs $35*
  • *plus cost of plants & soil and container (if the container is purchased here).

With our vast experience with container gardening we can guide you to select and design a beautiful container for any growing condition.

We will share our secret ingredient for long lasting color. You plant the container during the party and we will grow them in the greenhouse until you want the container or Pick up no later then Monday, May 13th. You can schedule a party of your own for 6 or more guests.

Personalized Porch Party: For you and your guests!

You can schedule a porch party of your own for 6 or more guests. The details are the same as above, however at a time you choose. Call (651) 780-1207 to set up a time.
We have had several successful Company Porch Parties, call for more details.

A weekend of gardening fun for the whole family!

We are so excited to offer this free event each spring season. Everything listed below is free, so come and enjoy the day with us!

Some of the fun:

  • David Olson, Balloon Artist, 10:00am - 4:00pm both days
  • David Olson is such fun to have on the farm making all of his awesome balloon creations.

  • Kids plant a pot
  • We teach the kids how to plant a pansy. The best part is they get to take the pansy home and take care of it all summer long.

  • Barnyard with baby animals
  • Take a stroll to the Joyer Barnyard to see the lambs (baby sheep) and chicks.

  • Door prizes
  • We have special Open House door prizes. Make sure to register to win one on the day of the event.

  • Container Demonstrations
  • Kathy is known for her creative container combinations and she will be sharing her tips and secrets to basket success.

Early Bird Gets the Worm Sale:

Saturday May 18th, 25th, and June 1st from 7:00am - 9:00am

On each of these Saturdays we will be opening our doors for the Early Birds. Arrive between the hours of 7 am and 9 am and receive $5 off your purchase of $10 or more. Come in early and shop as long as you like.
