Sunflower Festival at Waldoch Farm
The ultimate photo opportunity! We are planting a large Sunflower field for peak bloom in late July and early August.
Thank you to everyone who came out to our first Sunflower Festival
The event was very well received. You could feel the positive energey from the sunflowers. We are looking forward to hosting the event again in 2020 in late July.
This year Waldoch Farm and Garden Center’s love of flowers and nature has spilled over into a 4 acre field of gorgeous sunflowers! Come and walk through 10's of thousand blooms spreading down the hill like liquid sunshine, with photo opportunities, wine and gathering areas, and pick-your-own sunflower areas to take home a handful of summer for yourself.
The Sunflower Festival will be an awe inspiring way to experience the wonders of nature and agriculture. We have seeded four full acres of sunflowers an area of around four football fields, with 100,000 seeds to create this beautiful stolling landscape.

- NOTE: Sunflowers are an agricultural crop and therefore subject to weather, growing conditions, and ripening variables. We cannot guarantee that the sunflowers will bloom on a particular date, so prepare to be flexible with your visit. Stay tuned on Facebook for up-to-the-minute plans. The event is an outdoor event and therefore held weather permitting.

As farmers we know mother nature can vary the peak bloom, it could be a little earlier or later depending on weather conditions. Since we won’t know the exact timing until we begin to see the blooms, it is important to check back here, on our facebook page, or sign up for our newsletter to see when full bloom is arriving!
There will be a section to walk through for pictures, and a pick-your-own sunflower stem field with 10s of thousands of sunflowers to wade through in search of your own perfect bloom. After (or before) exploring the sunflowers and choosing your perfect flower, taking tons of photos, and enjoying the beauty of nature. After your hayride back from the sunflower field, stop in at the Garden Center for one of our famous hanging baskets or some fresh, picked daily, vegetables from Grandpa’s Roadstand, visit Joyer barnyard with farm animals and pick and play activities will be open for your entertainment.
